FUNdamental5 changed my life
The FUN5 came about when I, like many of you, was struggling to achieve good health.
I had gained 20 pounds, had gut and digestion problems, was gaining weight and experiencing infertility. I was in pain, and constantly feeling unwell.
After studying Nutrition and Integrative Health I created a nutritional formula of foods to nourish, balance and heal my body back to wellness.
It worked and miraculous shifts appeared in my life.
I lost 20 stubborn pounds, balanced my blood sugar and healed my gut. After 7 years of infertility I also became a mom.
What is the FUNdamental5?
It’s my approach to simplifying a nutritional method that will help you improve your gut health, balance your blood sugar and fuel your body to a support a healthy weight.
FUN5 is my unique results-driven nutritional approach to a healthy lifestyle.
Short for FUNdamental5, it’s the five must have food groups at each meal for a balanced diet:

Lean, healthy Protein to build and maintain muscle and satiate hunger Protein-breaks down into amino acids and have little to no effect on blood sugar balance while satiating you.

Healthy Fats for vital cell function and balanced hormones.
Healthy fats break down into fatty acids that have zero effect on blood sugar, supports healthy weight loss, slows digestion and causes the release of two satiety hormones, leptin and cholecystokinin (CCK).

Fiber to improve digestion, elimination, immunity, hormonal balance and brain function

Greens to deliver essential vitamins and antioxidants to fight inflammation and infection
Why I LOVE both Fiber and deep in color leafy greens!
These are plant based foods that have wrapped up the sugar and starch in a fiber based cell that you not only chew through but you have to digest through with both enzymes and hydrochloric acid and your microbes need to ferment those foods (hello, happy gut) and then finally those sugar and starches are released and pass through the epithelial lining. While they do create a slight blood sugar spike when you pair them with protein and fat, you slow your digestion, calm your hunger hormones, allow for that elongation to happen and aid in proper digestion which your gut bugs love!
