I’m going to ask you for something unusual
I’m launching a cosmetic brand, and rather than perfecting products in private and unveil them looking flawless, I’d like a small group of 35 women from Australia alongside me while I build them, seeing every decision as I make it.
I’ll show you almost everything: the trade-offs, why each ingredient earns its place, right down to the choices most brands would never reveal. The one thing I’ll keep back is the exact formulas, because that’s what I have to protect to make this a real business. What led me there is yours to see.
A seat at the table
Most brands would hand you a finished product and a story about it. I’d rather hand you a seat at the table while it’s still being made. You’ll see the thinking as it happens, the good calls and the ones I have to walk back. As a qualified cosmetic chemist, I’ll do the formulating. But you play a real part in developing it: the product on real skin, in real routines, over real weeks. That’s how a good formula becomes one that actually works for the people using it.
I’m not going to shout
You’ve heard every promise under the sun, and the emptier they were, the louder they got. I’d rather show you what’s genuinely in the bottle and let you make up your own mind.
It’s refillable too, because a lovely thing shouldn’t hit the bin the moment it runs out.
Why 35, and what’s the catch?
I can only post samples to a small group, my lab is not a factory, so I had to land on a number. I chose 35, and not by chance, this brand is for women over 35, so it felt right that 35 of you should be the ones to shape it. You’ll be the witnesses, the ones who actually test the stuff, live with it, and tell me to my face when something’s not right.
Everyone else still gets in
This isn’t a velvet rope with 35 spots and a bouncer turning everyone else away. Put your hand up and you’re in the Founding Circle regardless. You’ll watch the whole thing take shape, you’ll get founder launch pricing the day it goes live, and you’ll be first through the door when it does. The 35 get their hands dirty. Everyone else still gets the good seats. Nobody who applies goes home empty-handed.
One honest thing about skin
You’re all different, and so is your skin, what feels perfect on one of you might not suit the next, and that’s not a fault, it’s just skin. So when you tell me something, I’m listening for the pattern across all 35, not treating each note as an instruction. If nine of you say a texture’s too rich, that’s a signal I act on. If one of you does, it might be about your skin rather than the formula, and I’ll say so. None of that makes your feedback worth less, the honest reactions are the whole point, I just promise to weigh them properly rather than lurch after every single one.
What I’m actually making
I’m not here to sell you your twenties back, they had their own problems. I’m starting with corrective skincare, the kind that visibly improves how your skin looks and feels, for the skin you’ve got today, and I’ll always be honest about what it can and can’t do.
