I heard you! I heard you! I got so many messages from people who saw my segment on KTLA and wanted the recipes so I thought I’d share them! I want you to be able to to enjoy a breakfast that will truly fuel you and help you feel great!
It’s really important when you break your fast in the morning that you consume food that will keep you satiated, not something sweet or processed that will have you feeling the mid-morning crash just a few hours later!
I have a couple of examples of a healthy breakfast that contain the perfect combination of fat, fiber and protein.
I love a healthy smoothie…..this one that you can find on my website includes frozen cherries, super high in antioxidants, nut butter, spinach, and a vegan plant based Protein Powder that I really like. My favorite is this one from Amare. I also love to add in a few extra Superfoods like cinnamon and raw cacao nibs. I am all about “chewing” your smoothie which will also help with better digestion and nutrient absorption so just pulse those cacao nibs so they are still crunchy.
Breakfast bowls are another good option. I love eating food from bowls! Not only does it make your food look more appetizing but you tend to eat less when you put your food in a bowl. I recommend about a 6 inch in diameter bowl.

Here is an example of a healthy breakfast bowl with chia/flax/coconut/almond butter/ and antioxidant rich fruit….remember you want to make sure you are getting protein, fat and fiber or as I call it, PFF (I say you need a BFF and PFF in your life every day!)
That is a real breakfast of champions.
