The BEST “Frozen” Broccoli (veggie) Method
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag, 12 oz, frozen broccoli (veggies)
- 2 Tbsp avocado oil or unrefined olive oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground pepper
Additional Add-in’s:
- 2 Tbsp parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp organic Italian spice mix
Instructions
- Set oven temp to 400 degrees.
- Add the frozen broccoli florets to a large baking sheet lined with baking paper in a single layer.
- Place in the oven and roast for 15-20 minutes. The key is to dry out the veggies and get the moisture out.
- Remove from the oven. Add the olive oil, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder to the broccoli. Add salt and pepper to taste. Combine everything thoroughly.
- Place bake in the oven. Roast for another 10 minutes. Then broil on high for 5-10 minutes until browned and crispy. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Here are a couple of tips you want to MAKE SURE you do to have the BEST results! Don’t skip any of them!!!
1.) Any frozen vegetable will work, just make sure you buy organic and there is NOTHING else added.
2.) Make sure you roast the veggies until the water has totally evaporated and they don’t look “wet”…..this is KEY to getting a crispy finished veggie. Depending upon your oven, you may need to add or subtract time, just start checking them around the 15 minute mark. You can always increase the oven temp by 15 degrees if it’s taking longer, just keep a close eye on them.
3.) DO NOT add any oil or seasoning until after the first roast and you feel confident they aren’t wet looking. Super important.
4.) Seasoning is important after the have gone through the initial roast. Use high quality seasonings and oil and you will achieve a perfectly roasted veggie.
